Underland, is an arena for big thoughts and small reflections.
The Nordic conference for landscape architecture will discuss the
ethical obligations and professional integrity within the profession
of Landscape architecture.
Landscape architecture and planning influences our society in various
ways. Political administrations face huge challenges in providing
for sustainable and feasible solutions, but the responsibility goes
beyond politics. Architects, planners, builders and designers have
an ethical responsibility that cannot be disregarded. We must constantly
evolve all aspect of the profession; both large scale planning and
detail design, to be able to answer to the needs and challenges
of today’s society.
Underland aims to be such an arena. The lecture series raise the
focus on challenges in landscape architecture within managing the
world’s resources in a sustainable manner for the present
and future generations.
Allowing an extensive coverage on the themes a wide range of speakers
from different disciplines will contribute to the conference. In
addition the seminar will have a dual program, one ethical approach
and one concentrates on practical solutions.
