Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Summary:

The proud co-hosts are USP and the French Centre for Research and Documentation on Oceania (CREDO) in Marseilles, with support from ANU, and the Universities of French Polynesia and New Caledonia. Structured along archaeology, anthropology, history and linguistics, the symposium brings together some of the world’s leading scientists to discourse “Pacific Roots” from the perspectives of their specialised field.

Symposium Convenors are Serge Tcherzekoff of French Centre for Research and Documentation on Oceania (CREDO); Daryl Tryon and Chris Ballard of ANU, Paddy Nunn, Paul Geraghty, Ian Campbell and Morgan Tuimaleali’ifano of USP, Sagale Buadromo and Sepeti Matararaba of the Fiji Museum.
