The University of Rennes 2 - Haute Bretagne will be hosting this
joint session in Rennes from 10 to 12 April 2008; it will focus on
"intangible cultural heritage" and how it can be taken into
account in regional heritage mediation career planning.
The University of Rennes 2 - Haute Bretagne has been preparing
this diploma for the last two years in cooperation with the Regional
Directorate for Cultural Affairs (DRAC) for Brittany. The diploma
is the product of a joint consultation led at the European level
by the Alliance of European Cultural Cities (AVEC, of which the
city of Tours is member), universities in several European countries
and the International Relations Section of the Architecture and
Heritage Department of the French Ministry of Culture.
The course, which the University of Rennes 2 has applied to have
converted into a vocational Master's programme, includes a joint
training session involving the Italian and Spanish universities
preparing the same diploma.
