Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Summary: Main objective is to increase the awareness and capacity building of decision makers and city professionals that are in charge of intermediate cities (where more than 50% of the urban population is now living).

Both UNESCO and UN-HABITAT have been working on training and sensitization modules. Following this experimental sessions, mayors and decision makers should be in a better position to ensure a sustainable and integrated approach to revitalize historic districts in their own city.
