Summary: The 2008 Australian Archaeology Conference will be held over three days from the 4th to the 6th of December in Noosa at the Australis Noosa Lakes Resort in Noosaville, Queensland.

We are now inviting proposals for papers based on the sessions that have been proposed, covering current issues in Australasian archaeology as well as sessions of interest and relevance to Australian Archaeologists more generally. We also invite posters to be displayed at the conference on relevant research topics.

A welcome evening will be held on Wednesday the 3rd of December, and a post-conference tour is planned for Sunday the 7th of December.

The airconditioned conference venue boasts three beautiful, centrally located pools, and Noosa is home to some of the best beaches in Australia, so bring your togs. Noosa is also known for excellent dining and its natural beauty, including the nearby World Heritage Fraser Island and Great Sandy Region.
