The first meeting of the recently created European Heritage Legal
Forum (EHLF) will take place in Brussels on 22-23 September 2008.
The proposal for the establishment of an EHLF was endorsed last
May at the annual meeting of the European Heritage Heads Forum (EHHF)
in Copenhagen , Denmark .
The aim of this Forum will be to bring together representatives
of national governmental bodies who have the task of monitoring
European legislation and assessing its impact - direct or indirect
- on cultural heritage. At the meeting in Brussels participants
will further examine the main aims and specific tasks of the future
European Heritage Legal Forum.
