Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. Summary:

In the context of Chandigarh's nomination to the World Heritage List, as part of the serial nomination of "The Architectural and Urban Work of Le Corbusier", the World Heritage Centre in cooperation with the Chandigarh authorities, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the UNESCO New Delhi office has organized a 3-day technical workshop on site management and urban conservation to build up local capacities in these disciplines.

The workshop will take place from 18 to 21 December 2007 in Chandigarh, India. The event will kick off on December 18 with extensive site visits in Chandigarh, followed by an intensive, three-day technical workshop bringing together invited experts and Indian professionals. The workshop's goal is to instruct local counterparts, as well as exchange experiences in urban conservation and management. Invited experts are requested to prepare training material based on their experiences, while local professionals will be invited on the basis of their daily engagement in these fields.
