Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. Summary: The principal objective of this seminar is to understand how night lighting of buildings is done, and to develop an approach to carefully design a lit appearance for a heritage building.

The seminar will also help participants understand the differences of day and night lighting and the appropriate rendering of heritage structures. They will learn how to choose lighting fixtures and their placement for optimum effects within technical and environmental constraints.
