		Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Summary:	FAIR AND SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF FRESH WATER IN THE MEDITERRANEAN: History and traditions, solutions and prospects The objective of the 5th International Monaco and the Mediterranean Symposium is to allow Mediterranean experts to meet and discuss water management from Antiquity to the Arab-Muslim civilisation. They will also present innovative hi-tech projects that are inspired by past experience whilst addressing tomorrow’s challenges and respecting the ethics and imperatives of sustainable Development. Specialists will present their most recent work and research results during round table and discussion sessions open to professionals and the general public. This symposium will also be a meeting place for all key players involved in fresh water issues and an opportunity to build bridges between decision-makers, researchers and industry.
