Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

The Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions enters into force
To date, more than 50 States have ratified the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, which entered into force on 18 March 2007. Henceforth, international co-operation will serve as an innovative platform for promoting creative industries in all of their diversity.
 

The Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions will enter into force on 18 March.
Three months after the thirtieth instrument of ratification was deposited. To date, 52 States have ratified the Convention. In an unprecedented event, the European Union adhered to the convention as a regional organization of economic integration.
