Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Discover Islamic Art in the Mediterranean - 18 Virtual Exhibitions
Museum With No Frontiers (MWNF) is an organisation whose programme aims to establish a vast trans-national museum that presents works of art, architecture and archaeology in the context in which they were created. The ever expanding MWNF network includes partners from 19 countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The MWNF provides an opportunity to explore 18 virtual exhibitions: The Umayyads; The Abbasids; The Fatimids; The Atabegs and Ayyubids; The Mamluks; The Ottomans; The Muslim West; Pilgrimage; Women; Water; Arabic Calligraphy; Figurative Art; Echoes of Paradise: the Garden and Flora in Islamic Art; Geometric Decoration; Al-Franj: the Crusaders in the Levant; The Normans in Sicily; Mudéjar Art; Western Influence in Ottoman Lands.

New laboratory of experimental museum science
Québec, 28 May 2007 – The Laval University inaugurates today the new laboratory of museum science and culture engineering (LAMIC), with the presence of representatives of the Canadian Foundation for innovation and several private and public partners. The first university center of experimental museum science, the LAMIC is directed by professor Philippe Dubé, from the Faculty of languages, and is equipped with unique facilities in the country. The laboratory will allow to study the modalities of transmission of culture through the museum experience. (video)

Interpretation Guidelines launched. Australia
West Australian Heritage Minister Michelle Roberts launched Sharing Our Stories: guidelines for heritage interpretation on 18 May 2007, International Museums Day. The document was a collaborative project between the National Trust of Australia (WA), Museums Australia (WA) and Lotterywest. Sharing Our Stories is a comprehensive but easily accessible document providing tools for planning and delivering a range of interpretation projects including walk trails, museum exhibitions and educational programs. It is aimed at anyone interested in interpretation from community groups, local and regional museums, heritage sites, keeping places and state and local government bodies.

The royal museums of Fine Arts of Belgium
This website gathers 5 museums of Belgium: the museum of ancient Art, the museum of modern Art, the Wiertz museum and the Meunier museum, and it emphasizes its history. In a dynamic way, it displays the very rich collection of museums, from the 15th century to our days, in which certain chosen works are displayed and illustrated. In addition, it is possible to consult an online catalogue that includes more than 7,000 works. This database includes not only paintings, sculptures and drawings but also photos, engravings, facilities, carpets and some jewelry objects. Internet users can also find online the program of exhibitions as well as other activities. Without forgetting small icons mixed with the decoration, which display the museum's news, the section in which the user is and other useful information.
