Architettura
Rurale tra Villa Literno e Carinola (Caserta) By Alessandro
De Masi alessandrodemasi@libero.it
. Alinea Editrice, Florence 2006 - Italy - Second Faculty of Architecture
of Naples, Italy. (In Italian)
This publication is an extensive study (social, territorial) dedicated
to the reconstruction of the Rural Architectural Heritage of Caserta
(ager Falernus, Statanus, Campanus - Italy), a region which
encompasses all aspects of Cultural Landscapes. It has already received
18 patronages (the Council of Europe, the Italian Ministry of Cultural
Heritage and Environmental Conservation, etc.).This book describes
the infrastructures of the territory which were represented by the
centuriation including small rural centres and urbanized
commercial areas with autonomous administration (pagus, vicus,
terma). The layout of the gully drains and the great farms are
important evidences of ancient Roman sites. |

The
draft of the new ICOMOS declaration on immaterial heritage
Drafted in Kimberley last April, it is being facilitated by courtesy
of the International Scientific Committee of Immaterial Heritage
for its discussion at regional level between the members in view
of the meeting of Québec of next year. According to Víctor
Marín (UNESCO Habana, personal comment), this rough draft
could contribute to reduce the conceptual breach that divides the
heritage into categories and favor a wider conception of heritage
in all its fields, better linking the conventions and specially
those of 1972 and 2003…
