Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Conference on the theme: "Migration and Citizenship: the role of the metropolis in the European Union process of enlargement".
Rome - June 22, 2007. Within the initiatives organized by the Consilium Conferentiarum Episcoporum Europae (CCEE) for the celebration of the European Meeting of University Professors (Rome - June 21-24, 2007), the Italian Geographical Society (www.societageografica.it) promotes and organizes the Conference "Migration and Citizenship: the role of the metropolis in the European Union process of enlargement" (Rome - June 22, 2007). All the geography professors of the European Universities are invited to participate.

Thirty exceptional Filipina women were photographed by Isa Lorenzo. These women come from all walks of life: they are mothers, teachers, writers, artists, lawyers, doctors, diplomats, civic workers, and public servants who have shaped their professions and communities and who have helped create the cultural fabric of their times. These are the patrons and advocates, the spokespersons and activists, as well as the anonymous defenders who contributed to the Philippine culture and left their imprint on the collective memory of Filipinos as a people.

Painting Exhibition. CHINDIART – by Rosetta Berardi
UNESCO celebrates International Women's Day - 2007
This exhibition is based on the “graphic synchronisation” of the founding linguistic signs of civilizations of the Orient. It will reunite roughly 20 paintings created by the Italian artist Rosetta Berardi who was inspired by the calligraphy of ancient civilizations and who brings us into a mythical universe at the juncture of writing and painting.

International Mother Language Day - 21 February
International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by UNESCO's General Conference in November 1999. The International Day has been observed every year since February 2000 to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.

European "ACP-EU Water Facility" project for the River Niger
The ACP-EU Water Facility is a European Union programme launched in 2004 within the framework of the 9th European Development Fund. The Facility, which targets developing countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP), is a response to the need to speed up the provision of additional resources and work directly with those countries most affected by a shortage of access to water and a lack of basic hygiene for their people.
