Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

OBITUARY : Robin Letellier passes away
It is with deep regret that I would like to inform you that Robin Letellier passed away on April 20, 2007 in Philadelphia. He was teaching the Graduate Group in Historic Preservation at University of Pennsylvania when he was suddenly struck by a massive stroke.

Establishment of the UNITWIN Network on Capacity Building of Sustainable Development in Developing countries in the Asian Region
During a ceremony at UNESCO Headquarters on 5 April 2007, the Director-General of UNESCO, Koïchiro Matsuura, and the President of the Hangdong University (Republic of Korea), Dr Young-Gil Kim, signed an agreement concerning the establishment of a UNITWIN cooperation programme between UNESCO and the Network on Capacity Building of Sustainable Development in Developing countries in the Asian Region.

Show – Night of the Jordanian treasures. Cultural manifestation. Paris, France.

Gardens of Touraine
The authors, Jean Louis Sureau, director of the royal Château d'Amboise, and Jean-Baptiste Leroux, photographer (Redouté Prize in 2000, for the best book on the art of gardens and Eugène Carrière prize from the French Academy), pays a tribute to the traditional and modern practice of the art of gardens in Touraine.

   

Cross-national Studies of the Quality of Education. Planning their Design and Managing their Impact
This book is based on the papers and debates presented at the Policy Forum on 'Cross-national Studies of the Quality of Education: Planning their Design and Managing their Impact' held in Paris in 2004. An overview of terminology, concepts and definitions related to cross-national studies on the quality of education is followed by an examination of three key educational policy research design questions: 'What will be measured?', 'Who will be measured?' and 'What are the financial and logistical costs?'. Rounding off the volume are case studies that illustrate how ministries of education and international organizations disseminate the results of cross-national studies of the quality of education.
