Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

The Director-General of UNESCO expresses concern over threatened boycott of Israeli Academic Institutions
The Director-General of UNESCO, Koïchiro Matsuura, today voiced concern over the motion passed on 30 May 2007 by the British University and College Union (UCU) to boycott Israeli academic institutions. This boycott request is currently being circulated to all UCU local branches for discussion.

European capitals of Culture 2011: Turku and Tallinn acepted
The European Jury, on June 4, having studied the 2 candidate cities for the title "European Capital of culture 2011", made public its report on 13 of June. The report recommends that Turku (Finland) and Tallin (Estonia) hold this title. The decision will be taken by the Conseil Culture, probably during the second quarter of 2007, under the Portuguese presidency of the EU.

Temptation of the "all visible ", in association with the Photography meeting
Organized by the Culture section of the national Institute of Youth and Popular Education, the ministry of national Education, the SCÉRÉN - CNDP, the CRDP of Aix-Marseille, the French ministry of Culture and Communication, Teaching league and Arts meeting, proposes this seminar in the month of July (from 9 to 11) in Arles. Photography is a dominant cultural practice, based on social uses in constant evolution. It is also a specific artistic itinerary related to heritage as well as to contemporary creation.

Tutors for European Work Based Training
Work-based vocational training (also called "sandwich training" or "alternate training") is organised in the form of periods in a school or training centre as well as periods in the workplace in a company. The development of European work-based training, in which alternation takes place between a training centre and a company or institution in another country, constitutes one of the main objectives of European policy concerning vocational training. The Tutor-Ring project, funded within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, aims to raise the quality of such European transnational work-based training.
