Culture plays an ever growing role in economic development itself
On the 27th of June the Committee of Regions organised in Brussels
a round table on “Culture and tourism”. Cultural diversity
and the development of cultural forms of expressions are, together
with the preservation of the cultural heritage, indispensable elements
of European identity. In this sense this event was aimed to underline
that culture plays an ever growing role in economic development
itself and to its foundations on which it rests. Culture in its
diverse forms can no longer be subsumed and evaluated under the
term 'cultural economy'.

The Barcelona University is conducting the 7th version of the Postgraduate
Studies in Cultural Tourism. The semi presential course is targeted
at professionals and the language will be Spanish, although the

participation politique et ses défis : territoires, action
collective et registres
Conférence internationale organisée par la Chaire
UNESCO « Politiques urbaines et citoyenneté »,
l’UMR CNRS 5600 et l’Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics
de l’Etat, Lyon
10-11 décembre 2007. Les débats relatifs à
la démocratie sur un registre participatif prennent corps
au sein de sociétés dans lesqulles le rapport entre
la société civile et le politique se recomposent rapidement.
Plus exactement, c’est un type d’organisation du politique
historiquement daté qui est en cause. En effet, il a longtemps
été inconcevable de penser le politique en dehors
de l’État, de ses institutions et de son territoire
contrôlé par le biais d’un ensemble de frontières
et d’instruments ormatifs. Ce modèle politique est
actuellement remis en question.

du colloque "Aménagement urbain et transition post-keynésienne"

Les impacts du post-fordisme sur les activités, les populations
urbaines et les politiques d’aménagement ont fait l’objet
de nombreux travaux, mais ceux du post-keynésianisme restent
à explorer. Ce colloque se fixe comme objectif d’analyser
à la fois la réalité et l’ampleur du
post-keynésianisme, et particulièrement les conséquences
de cette éventuelle remise en cause sur les pratiques, les
moyens disponibles, les cultures et les objectifs affichés
par les acteurs de l’aménagement urbain.

The URBACT Programme aims to develop exchanges of experience between
European cities and the actors, which have been involved in the
URBAN Programmes, initiated and implemented by the European Union
since the late 1980s (URBAN Pilot Projects and URBAN I and II),
while at the same time contributing to an improvement of actions
carried out at local and regional level in order to find the most
efficient solutions to common problems.
