Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

The Gallery of the donations will be inaugurated in the Cité nationale of the history of immigration
On the occasion of the Night of museums, the Palais de la Porte Dorée will be open to the public exceptionally until midnight. This time, it will be inaugurated the Gallery of the donations, a space devoted to the objects and itineraries of life that are proof of two centuries of history of immigration. The accomplishment of a round table with several participant – emigrants, children of emigrants, ethnologists, heritage conservators, film producers – will allow to debate on the questions related to the accomplishment of this gallery and the appropriation of the public space of the museum by the civil sector.

Afghan Children's Songbook is Celebrated with Performance May 25 at National Gallery of Art
On the occasion of the U.S. premiere of the exhibition Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, a historic compilation of children’s songs from Afghanistan will be published with lyrics translated into English. Photo exhibition on "Living Heritage: Exploring the Intangible"
From 11 April to 10 June 2008. Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The purpose of the exhibition, organized within the framework of the International Day of Monuments and Sites (18 April), is to raise public awareness about cultural heritage of humanity which encompasses not only monuments and artifacts but also living heritage such as oral traditions, traditional music, dance and theatre, social practices, rituals and festivals as well as traditional knowledge and skills.
