• Les autres / the others – major exhibition touring to Noumea, New Caledonia
  From 29 October 2008 to 8 February 2009. ‘the others’ or ‘les autres’ is the touring name of ‘the other APT‘, a multi-artform exhibition produced to coincide with and respond to the 5th Asia Pacific Triennial, with a similar focus – of art within the Asia-Pacific region. However, in the interest of protocol, best practice and inclusiveness, artworks were sought more locally, from Brisbane and beyond, to highlight the fact that Coastal areas have an interesting hybrid mix of artists, right here, right now, and are also in dialogue with the first people of Australia.

• INTERVIEW OF Dr Boureïma Tiékoroni Diamintani, Executive Director of the West African Museums Programme (WAMP)
  Since 2001, Dr. Boureïma Tiékoroni Diamitani has been the Executive director of the West African Museums Programme (WAMP). He graduated from EAMAU (Ecole Africaine des Métiers de l'Architecture et de l'Urbanisme) in 1983, and from the University of Iowa in the United States in 1999 (PhD in Art History). He was successively Director of the National Museum of Burkina Faso, and Director of cultural heritage.

• CHCAP Members (DEAKIN UNIVERSITY, AUSTRALIA) received a contract from Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research
  ICG research Centre, Cultural Heritage Centre for Asia and the Pacific (CHCAP) members Pam MacLean, A/Prof. Andrea Witcomb, A/Prof. Michele Langfield and Dr Linda Young have just received a contract from the Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research Centre (JHMRC) to write a book on their history. This project builds from a very successful ARC Linkage project with the Centre in which Pam and Michelle looked at the Centre's extensive video testimonies and analysed the various narratives they contained about Holocaust experiences.

• Ermitage museum in the history of collecting in Russia
  One of the major museums in the world explains in this interview that the concept of Contemporary art in the Ermitage is not so new. Indeed, it goes back to the history of collecting in Russia, deeply rooted as of the 18th century and promoted by the enthusiasm of Russia czarina Catherine II, who gathered the collections of European Classical Art and Contemporary art. Under the Soviet regime, Contemporary art was questioned and considered as “bourgeois art”, “capitalist art”. The “Ermitage 20/21” project aims at the revival of the old tradition of Contemporary art in the Ermitage. The French engraving, very well represented in the immense collections of Catherine II, is the object of the research carried out by Dimitri Ozerkov within the framework of a training program in the FMSH.
