Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

Design guide Eco-garden: Landscape, urban planning, architecture
The Park attempts to produce a practical guide for individuals, people in charge and professors whose objective is to raise awareness on the landscaping impact of fences and to promote environmentally friendly practices in gardening. The work will consist in the compilation of documents, search of references and drafting the guide. The publication and the illustrations will be assigned to an independent graphic artist.

National first prize in “Exploring your heritage” for a Loire primary school class
On 10 June 2008, Mrs Bonnot’s class were received at the Chateau d’Angers with the four other prize-winning classes from the Département. It was an easy choice of venue because the Chateau chose to use the poster as a communication tool for the 2008 season of "Excellence in amateur pursuits", an initiative which aims to promote amateur artistic pursuits which all require a very high level of dedication...

Two photo competitions this summer
The Loire Valley winemakers competition, open until 31 October 2008, gives you the chance to submit photographs in three categories: The consumption of Loire wines in action, A view of the wine-growing landscapes of the Loire and The passion and know-how of Loire winemakers. There are even pro tips for amateur photographers, and site visitors can mark photos submitted to the website. The prizes are very attractive: A gastronomic weekend, a 60-bottle cellar, a home-cookery course and many other prizes... Until 15 October 2008, France Nature Environnment is running its 2nd photography competition on the subject of water, organised in the Loire-Brittany basin in partnership with the Water Agency. The chosen topic, “Artificial rivers, natural rivers”, aims to raise awareness among local residents of the state of waterways. Residents are also being asked for their views on the draft urban development plan for water development and management (SDAGE).

Value: $5,000 exclusive of GST. The Victorian Government’s strategy Victoria’s Heritage: Strengthening our communities articulates a broad vision for heritage conservation and interpretation. Victoria's Heritage delivers programs and initiatives that provide a whole-of-government framework to recognise, protect, interpret and manage Victoria’s diverse heritage. The strategy’s Direction 6: Resourcing the community includes the action to provide increased opportunities for the training of heritage professionals. The purpose of this scholarship, funded by Heritage Victoria and delivered through Australia ICOMOS, is to provide funding towards a recognised specialist heritage training course.
