Forum UNESCO-University and Heritage (FUUH) is an UNESCO Project for undertaking activities to protect and safeguard the cultural and natural heritage, through an informal networkof higher education institutions. FUUH is under the joint responsibility of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Spain. This internet website is not an official site of UNESCO but a website created and managed by the UPV within the framework of the project FUUH.

  • Koïchiro Matsuura pays first official visit of a UNESCO Director-General to Grenada
    The Director-General, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura, paid his first official visit to Grenada from 21 and 23 January 2009. It was the first official visit of a UNESCO Director-General to the country, which has been a UNESCO Member State since February 1975. Upon his arrival, Mr Matsuura was met by Mrs Franka Alexis-Bernardine, Minister of Education and Human Resources and Chairperson of the Grenada National Commission for UNESCO, Mr Peter David, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, and Mr Patrick Simmons, Minister of Youth Empowerment, Culture and Sport.

  • Koïchiro Matsuura pays first official visit of a UNESCO Director-General to Antigua and Barbuda
    The Director-General of UNESCO, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura, paid his first official visit to Antigua and Barbuda on 20 and 21 January 2009. It was the first official visit of a UNESCO Director-General to the country, which has been a UNESCO Member State since July 1982. He was met at the airport by Mr Bertrand Joseph, Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Affairs and Chairperson of the Antigua and Barbuda National Commission for UNESCO, and Mr Eleston Adams, Minister of State with responsibility for Culture. Mr Matsuura was accompanied throughout his visit by Mr Reginald Murphy, Secretary-General of the Antigua and Barbuda National Commission for UNESCO.
